Jacob Orender Repeats As NABC Honors Court Selection
After Graduating With A 3.6 GPA, Orender Will Remain With The Bears As A Master's Student
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second consecutive season, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) recognized
Jacob Orender for his excellence in the classroom.

Orender completed his undergraduate degree early, finishing with a 3.60 cumulative GPA as an Environmental Economics & Policy major. He will continue his career with the Golden Bears as a graduate student in the Intersection of Sport and Education Master's Program.

The guard has appeared in 11 games with the Bears, including eight last season, connecting on his first 3-pointer as a Cal student-athlete against USC. Orender's success has continued into the summer as he recently claimed a gold medal representing the United States for Maccabi USA at the Pan American Maccabi Games.

A student-athlete is required to meet an exemplary level of academic criteria in order to be considered for the Honors Court. To be eligible for selection, a student must be a junior or senior varsity player, carry a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year and attend a NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA institution for at least one year under an NABC member coach.
