Opening statement:
"Arizona has a very good team. They're a team that's top-50 in the country on defense, in the top-20 on offense, and they have excellent talent across the lineup. I think they have a chance to have a great run. We didn't play well enough to compete with a team like that tonight. The margin for error versus a team that's good on both ends is slim. We didn't play well enough to give ourselves a chance."
 
On offensive struggles:
"We have to keep the score down. When they got in the bonus with 12 minutes to go, that was tough for us. If we stay aggressive defensively, then they're shooting free throws. At 32-33, they went on a 7-0 run, and we never threatened after that. When they got into the bonus with 12 minutes to go, it makes it hard for us to run the style of play that gives us the best chance to win."
 
On Zeke Nnaji:
"He's an outstanding player. He's quick, he's explosive, and he's long. We tried several guys on him. We tried to double team him. There's a reason he's as highly regarded as he is. He's hard to stop."
 
On Andre Kelley:
"He's had a few more rebounds for us. He's been a little more consistent, which is good. I think he can do more, but it's nice to see him putting numbers in the box score."
 
On containing Mannioin and Green:
"The hard thing about containing a well-shooting team is you can't stop them all. It was important for us to take away the three point line. They have so many weapons, it's hard. They're very talented guys. Did we hold them down a bit? Sure, but they have a lot of guys that can put it in the basket.

On lack of offense:
"For us, it starts with defense. We get the stops on defense, and it leads to our offense. It gives everybody a little extra motivation and driver when we get a stop. We want to control our tempo, get the shots we want, and hold them to a low scoring game. It comes down to stops."
 
On defensive effort against Nico Mannion and Josh Green:
"We stuck to our game plan, and played defense. Obviously, we want to limit the offense and scoring against us. "

On tonight's performance:
"Hats off to Arizona, they're a great team. Defensively they're long and athletic. I had to work hard for every point. They're a great team."
 
On overall performance:
"Not good enough. There's a lot more room for improvement, and we're going to come back Sunday and show a different effort."
 
On pressure to carry the offense:
"I don't think we're struggling. We want it to be a low scoring game. For us to win games, we need to play defense. Tonight, our defense wasn't there, and that's why we lost."
