Golden Bears play first overtime game since 2017.

  • Cal played its first overtime game since a 45-44 double overtime loss to Arizona in Berkeley on Oct. 21, 2017. Cal is now 8-5 all-time in overtime games.
  • Cal had three takeaways and now has the longest current string of games with at least one takeaway in the nation at 19 in a row.
  • Cal shutout its opponent in the first quarter for the fourth time in the first six games of 2022 including all three road games (UNLV, at Notre Dame, at Washington State, at Colorado).
  • Cal's 71 punt return yards were its most since the Golden Bears had 78 against Idaho State on Sept. 15, 2018
  • Collin Gamble finished with career highs 3.0 tackles for loss and seven tackle for loss yards.
  • Jack Plummer had career highs of 29 pass completions and 52 pass attempts.
