Cal Will Have Four Boats Competing In Weekend Competition
BERKELEY – The Cal women's rowing team heads to Lake Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Invitational this Saturday and Sunday. The two-day race will feature boats from Clemson, Southern Methodist, Alabama, Iowa, and Penn as well as Pac-12 foes Oregon State, UCLA, Washington, Washington State, and USC.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to race twice in Las Vegas this weekend," said captain
Juliane Faralisch. "To learn, to practice our own way of racing, and to figure out how we can unlock our full potential. We do everything together, it gives the team so much power and our focus is on achieving our own goals. Every 2k we race gives us the opportunity to build our momentum."
Cal will be sending two eight boats and two fours. The racing begins on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. and runs through Sunday morning. Live results can be found at
Regatta Central.
