Cal Wins Ever Race In Pac-12 Dual Meet

TUCSON, Arizona – Junior Isabelle Stadden was a triple winner and senior Ayla Spitz won a pair of races as the No. 11 Cal women's swimming & diving team rolled past Arizona 199-94 on Friday afternoon at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.

The Bears (5-0) won every event swam during the afternoon.

Stadden captured the 200-yard backstroke – her signature event – in a time of 1:57.51, outdistancing her closest competitor by over four seconds. She also took the 200-yard individual medley with a mark of 2:02.41, beating teammates Annika McEnroe and Lizzy Cook in a close race.

Stadden also teamed up with Jade Neser, Emily Gantriis and Ella Mazurek to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:37.98.

Spitz captured the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 50.23. The Bears swept the top three spots in the race, with Emma Davidson and McKenna Stone finishing behind Spitz.

Spitz also triumphed in the 100-yard backstroke with a mark of 54.37.

Stone, Gantriis, Mazurek and Davidson took the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:31.75.

Cal continues Pac-12 dual meet play on Saturday at Arizona State.
