Bears Earn Another Draw At No. 25 Colorado

Teagan Wy Logs Four Saves In Cal’s Third Consecutive Draw

BOULDER, Colo. – Sophomore goalkeeper Teagan Wy tallied four saves as the California women's soccer team posted its fifth clean sheet of the season in a scoreless draw against No. 25 Colorado on Sunday afternoon at Prentup Field.

Cal (5-3-5, 2-0-3 Pac-12) extended its undefeated streak in conference play to five matches while the Buffaloes (10-3-1, 2-2-1) were handed their first tie of the campaign. The draw was the third in as many matches for the Golden Bears, who were coming off a pair of 1-1 contests against Arizona State in Berkeley last Sunday and Utah in Salt Lake City on Thursday. Colorado entered the match averaging 1.86 goals per game and had been held scoreless just once this season.

The Bears were outshot 18-to-5 by the Buffs, including an 11-to-1 differential in the first 45 minutes of play, but remained poised throughout the contest as they fended off multiple threats from the hosts. Wy, who has registered all five shutouts for Cal this season, posted two saves in each half. Arguably the biggest save of the match came in the 85th minute when a shot by Colorado's Shyra James inside the box deflected off Wy before Miriam Hills booted the ball away just in front of the goal.

Cal finished with five total shots and just one on goal, which came off the foot of Soleil Dimry in the 56th minute. Dimry cut to her right five yards outside of the box and lofted a shot toward the top-right corner of the net, only to see Jordan Nytes make her lone save of the match.

Kylie Kerr and Courtney Boone logged all 90 minutes on the defensive end while Dimry led all Bears with two shots.
