BERKELEY- The No. 7 California women's gymnastics team will begin its 2024 campaign at the Mean Girls Super 16 Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, Jan. 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.

For the second-straight year the Golden Bears will compete in the biggest regular season event in collegiate gymnastics history that features 16 NCAA teams and over 300 student-athletes. Cal will compete in the final quad meet of the weekend which begins at 6 p.m. and features No. 5 UCLA, No. 8 Alabama, and No. 17 Auburn.

The rest of the field includes No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 6 Michigan, No. 9 Kentucky, No. 10 Denver, No. 11 Michigan State, No. 13 Oregon State, No. 18 Minnesota, No. 21 Washington, No. 24 Southern Utah, No. 26 Illinois, No. 31 BYU, and San Jose State.

In 2023 the Bears won their quad and recorded the second-highest team score out of all 16 teams in attendance notching a 197.475.
