Cal Adds Fourth Member To Next Year’s Class
BERKELEY – California men's gymnastics announced Thursday that it has added another member to its next class, with Sam Cirlincione (Bridgeway Academy/Gymtek Academy) signing his National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Bears for the 2025 season. Cirlincione will join Matteo Bardana, Brendan Friele and Troy Nuesca as first-years on the squad.
Originally hailing from Long Island, New York, before moving to Tennessee, Cirlincione participated in high school lacrosse and varsity wrestling in addition to his gymnastics training at Gymtek. He has appeared multiple times at the U.S. Men's Development Program National Championships and most recently placed third in the all-around at the Tennessee Men's State Championships with top-two finishes on floor, vault and parallel bars, as well as a top-three finish on rings. The previous year, he took fourth on horizontal bar at the Men's Dev National Championships after earning a Region 7 rings title and third-place finishes on pommel horse and rings at the New York State Men's Championships.
A three-time Academic All-American, Cirlincione will further his education by pursuing a business major at Cal.
