Cal Will Have A Combined 17 Individual Entries At National Meet

Nine members of the Cal women's swimming & diving team have earned invitations to the 2023 NCAA Championships, to be held March 15-18 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center at the University of Tennessee.

The Bears also qualified all five of their relay teams, including their Pac-12 winning 200-yard medley relay squad.

Cal's nine individual entries will swim in a combined 17 events, led by junior Isabelle Stadden and sophomore Leah Polonsky's three events each. The Bears have four other swimmers competing in two events.

Below is a complete list of Cal swimmers selected to compete at NCAAs, and the events in which each will participate:
Lizzy Cook – 200 fly
Emma Davidson – 100 free
Rachel Klinker – 500 free, 200 fly
Mia Kragh – 100 fly
Annika McEnroe – 100 back, 200 back
Mia Motekaitis – 200 free, 200 back
Leah Polonsky – 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 fly
Ayla Spitz – 200 free, 500 free
Isabelle Stadden – 100 back, 200 back, 200 IM
Relays - 200 medley relay, 800 free relay, 200 free relay, 400 medley relay, 400 free relay

The Bears are coming off a third-place finish at last week's Pac-12 Championships. In addition to Cal's 200 medley relay team, Polonsky captured conference titles in both the 200 and 400 individual medleys.

Cal has finished in the top-10 at the NCAA Championships every year since 1997. The Bears have won four team national championships – in 2009, 2022, 2012 and 2015.
