INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Former Cal safety Daniel Scott is scheduled to start his measurable skills testing and participate in an on-field workout Friday at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. Top front office executives, coaching staffs, player personnel departments and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams are in attendance at the Lucas Oil Stadium event to evaluate the nation's top football prospects eligible for the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft.

Scott is scheduled to be tested Friday in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, 3 cone drill, and 20 and 60-yard shuttles, while his bench press is slated for Saturday. He arrived at the combine Tuesday as part of the defensive backs' group and went through a series of events including exams, interviews and meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. – Played in 49 games with 28 starts over his final five seasons at Cal (2018-22) after redshirting as a 2017 true freshman
– Registered 207 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss (-44 yards), seven interceptions that he returned for 65 yards and one touchdown, three forced fumbles, seven pass breakups and four quarterback hurries
– Started all 12 games and contributed a career-high 85 tackles as a 2022 senior, while adding 2.5 tackles for loss (-7 yards), a team-high and career-high-tying three interceptions that he returned a team-high and career-high 59 yards, a career-high four pass breakups and a career-high-tying two quarterback hurries
– Earned third-team All-Pac-12 honors from Phil Steele and Pro Football Focus while being selected honorable mention All-Pac-12 in a vote of the league's coaches as a 2022 senior
– Played in the 2023 Senior Bowl for the winning National Team, contributed a key pass breakup near the end zone to thwart a potential touchdown drive and one tackle
