Cal Moves Up Four Spots On Final Day
EL MACERO – The California men's golf team tied its best round of the El Macero Classic on Sunday with a second consecutive even-par 288 to move up four spots and finish 11th out of 20 teams.
Daniel Heo (76-72-70 – 218, +2) led the Golden Bears by carding a 2-under 70 in round three and jumped 21 spots on the individual leaderboard from 57th to 36th. Heo's third-round score tied Nathan Wang and Aaron Du for the lowest single-round mark of the tournament for the Bears. After both shot 2-under on Saturday, Wang and Du matched one another again by shooting 1-over 73 in round three.
Wang (72-70-73 – 215, -1) cemented his place in the top 20, carding a 1-under 215 through 56 holes and ending in a tie for 17th individually. Du (74-70-73 – 217, +1) ended in 32nd place.
As a team, the Bears finished at 7-over 871 for the tournament, which was won by San Diego (283-288-279 – 850).

Cal will now prepare for the Pac-12 Championships, which take place from April 28-30 at Stanford Golf Course.
