BERKELEY – The No. 7 California women's rowing team will host No. 12 SMU and Iowa at the Pac-12 Challenge at Redwood Shores in Redwood City this weekend. The Golden Bears will be racing their top three varsity eight and top two varsity four boats.

All Cal races on Saturday will be streamed on the Cal live stream here. The Bears don't compete on Sunday.

The event also marks the celebration of the 50^th anniversary of the passing of Title IX, the historic ruling that promoted gender equity in education and sports.
 
To commemorate the occasion, members (below) from the 1965 club team – considered the first organized team featuring Cal women students – and the 1975 team – the first NCAA-sanctioned women's varsity eight team at Cal – will be present and give speeches at the event. Photos of each team will also be displayed.
