Cal Selected To Norman Regional
Bears Earn First Postseason Bid Since 2018
BERKELEY – The California softball team will begin its postseason road in Oklahoma where it will compete in the Norman Regional, along with the host No. 1 seed Sooners, Missouri and Hofstra.
The Golden Bears are making their first postseason appearance since the 2018 season and 34
th in program history.
Cal begins the four-team, three-day event at 4:30 p.m. PT on ESPN+ vs. Missouri, an at-large selection from the SEC. The Tigers went 34-24 in 2023.
Oklahoma and Hofstra start the action at 2 p.m. PT on Friday on ESPNU. Friday's winners will square off in the first of three games Saturday at 12 p.m. PT, while Friday's losing teams will face off in an elimination game for game two (2:30 p.m. PT) of Saturday's tripleheader. The loser of Saturday's first game will take on the winner of the day's second game in an elimination game later Saturday night (5:30 p.m. PT). The winner of Saturday's final game will take on the winner of the day's first game on Sunday (11 a.m. PT) with an if-necessary rematch scheduled for later on Sunday.Â
A limited number of remaining general admission all-session tickets will go on sale to the public on Tuesday at 10 am. General admission all-session tickets will be $75 a piece and will get you into each game of the tournament. If tickets remain, single session seats will go on sale Wednesday at 10Â am.Â

The Bears finished the season 33-19-1 (9-14-1 Pac-12) and lost in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament to eventual champion No. 21 Utah. Powered by one of the most explosive offenses in the country, Cal led the conference in extra-base hits with 151 and topped the Pac-12 in both home runs (67) and doubles (78).
Cal last advanced to an NCAA Super Regional in 2012, the same year it made its most recent appearance in the Women's College World Series.
