No. 2 Cal Records Second-Highest Balance Beam Score Ever In Victory Over No. 16 Beavers

Mya Lauzon continued their hot starts to the 2024 season, tying for the top all-around score to lead the No. 2 California women's gymnastics team to a 197.950-196.775 victory over No. 16 Oregon State at Haas Pavilion on Saturday afternoon.
Frazier and Lauzon, who won the past two Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week awards respectively, each amassed an all-around score of 39.700 as the Bears (7-1) especially dominated on beam and floor to win their home opener. Cal registered the second-best beam score in program history with a 49.675 and tied for the third-best mark on the floor exercise at 49.600.
Lauzon, who entered the weekend tied for the No. 1 ranking nationally in the all-around, recorded a 9.975 in both the beam and floor, earning a perfect 10 from one judge in each event. It marked the second time this season Lauzon has received a 10 from one judge on two different events.
Frazier scored at least a 9.9 in all four rotations, including a 9.950 on the uneven bars.
Junior
Maddie Williams reeled off a terrific 9.950 on beam while Frazier and senior
Gabby Perea added a 9.925. Cal's all-time best on beam is 49.825, set last season in a quad meet with Arizona, UC Davis and Sac State at Haas Pavilion.
 The Bears go back on the road next week for a huge showdown against No. 1 Oklahoma as part of a tri-meet at Arizona State. First rotation is set for 6 p.m.
