RB Jaydn Ott had a season-high 78 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

  • Syracuse now leads the all-time series with Cal 2-1 after today's 33-25 victory in the first meeting between the teams since a 43-0 Cal victory in Berkeley on Oct. 26, 1968.
  • RB Jaivian Thomas' 75-yard touchdown run in the second quarter is Cal's longest run since Marcel Dancy's 76-yard TD run at Stanford on Nov. 20, 2021. Thomas finished with a team-high 80 rushing yards on three carries.
  • RB Jaydn Ott had a season-high 78 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, including his longest rush of the season (53 yards). His 15-yard scoring run was the 24th rushing touchdown of his career.
  • ILB Teddye Buchanan had a game-high 14 tackles and recorded Cal's only sack. Buchanan also had 2.0 tackles for loss, as well as his second forced fumble and the third of his career, and one quarterback hurry. 
  • ILB Hunter Barth tied a career-high with seven tackles.
  • WR Jonathan Brady set a career-high with six receptions.
  • Cal had its string of scoring on the first drive of the game snapped at four in a row.
  • Cal has now outscored opponents 75-18 in the third quarter, including a 7-3 advantage today.
  • Cal had its string of four consecutive wins in November end at four.
  • Cal's string of consecutive games with at least one takeaway ended at 11. 
  • Cal allowed points on the opponent's opening drive for only the second time this season.
  • Cal lost the turnover battle for the first time this season after winning it seven times and being even twice in the first nine games.
  • Cal allowed a season-high 148 yards rushing.
  • Cal possessed the ball for a season-low 21:19.
