California Post-Game Notes vs. UNLV - LA Bowl

UNLV's 24-13 victory over California on Wednesday in the Art of Sports LA Bowl hosted by Gronk came in the second-ever meeting between the schools. Cal was a 20-14 winner in the only previous meeting in 2022 in Berkeley. The all-time series is now tied, 1-1.
The bowl game was Cal's second in as many seasons, giving the Golden Bears back-to-back bowl appearances in 2023 and 2024 for the first time since 2018 and 2019.
RB Jaydn Ott rushed 11 times for a season-high 84 yards. At the end of three complete seasons and 34 games played at Cal, Ott is seventh on the Bears' career list for rushing touchdowns (24) and 10th on Cal's all-time rushing list (2,597). Ott had a 48-yard rush in the first quarter of tonight's game that was his second-longest run of the 2024 season and the sixth-longest of the campaign by the Bears.
WR Josiah Martin scored his first collegiate touchdown on a 29-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and also had career highs of four receptions and 40 yards receiving.
QB CJ Harris made his first career start at Cal and completed 13-of-20 passes for 109 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He also had 12 rushes for 23 yards on the ground.
QB EJ Caminong made his first career appearance when he entered the game in the third quarter.
TE Jack Endries finished with game highs of seven receptions and 61 yards receiving, catching at least one pass for the 12th straight contest. He finished the 2024 season with career and team highs of 56 receptions and 623 yards receiving, as well as two touchdown grabs.
P Lachlan Wilson finished his two-year Cal career with a 44.9 yards per punt average that is the highest career mark in school history, besting the previous record of 44.0 held by Scott Tabor (1986-87). Wilson punted six times for 283 yards (47.7 average) in his 60th and final collegiate game tonight.
OL Will McDonald finished his career with 61 games played.
LS Jake Arguello played in his first career game.
WR Trevor Rogers had his first career reception for 17 yards.
Cal had 22 seniors that went through the team's pre-game senior recognition ceremony before the Nov. 23 Big Game against Stanford potentially play their final game for the Golden Bears today including WR Mavin Anderson, ILB Hunter Barth, ILB Teddye Buchanan, RB Kadarius Calloway, OLB Xavier Carlton, PK Ryan Coe, DL Ricky Correia, DB Marcus Harris, DB Lu-Magia Hearns III, ILB Liam Johnson, TE Jeffrey Johnson, DB Matthew Littlejohn, OL Will McDonald, OLB David Reese, OL Rush Reimer, OL T.J. Session, OL Victor Stoffel, DL Derek Wilkins, DB Miles Williams, DB Nohl Williams, P Lachlan Wilson and DB Craig Woodson. Cal has several other seniors on the roster who did not play today,
Woodson and Miles Williams were the team's lone sixth-year seniors who have spent their entire collegiate careers at Cal.
