BERKELEY – California men's gymnastics closed out four straight weeks of competition with a return to Haas Pavilion on Sunday, taking on William & Mary in a virtual showdown that featured both teams broadcasting from their home gyms. The Golden Bears took five out of six events, including individual event crowns on all six rotations, to finish with a team score of 393.150 to the Tribe's 376.900.

Cal started off with a win on floor and the first of its two podium sweeps, combining for a score of 65.200. Reigning MPSF Freshman of the Week Brendan Strom posted the top score (13.400), followed by sophomore Theodor Roald Gadderud's season-high 13.200 and junior Tyler Shimizu's 13.050. The Bears repeated the podium sweep on pommel horse, where they posted a winning season-high of 67.450 – the third-best mark in modern program history and the fourth such milestone this season. Senior Aidan Li led Cal for the second straight week with his winning 13.900; classmates Noah Newfeld and Noah Sano took second and third, respectively, with scores of 13.850 and 13.300.

A major individual highlight came on still rings, where leadoff freshman Jaxon Mitchell finished his routine with a stick and raised his PR by over a point to 13.600, good for the event title. Newfeld then earned another second-place score with his rings routine (13.450), helping the Bears to a winning total of 65.850. Cal was also highly successful on vault, edging out William & Mary with a season-high score of 69.850 to 69.100 to continue its streak. Junior Jasper Smith-Gordon won his second title of the season with a score of 14.550, followed by sophomore Khalen Curry's 14.450 that tied for second place. Sophomore Theodor Roald Gadderud stuck the landing of a season-high 14.300 to just miss out on the podium.

Newfeld finished his afternoon with a winning score of 13.650 on parallel bars, while Sano's 13.600 came in just behind at second place. The Bears closed out the meet with four sticks on horizontal bar, including a winning 13.500 from senior Darren Wong and a season-high (and second-place) 12.900 from junior Landon Wu, to take home their fifth event title with a combined 62.550.
