Keenan Allen Has Big Day At Pro Bowl Games

Former Cal Wide Receiver Grabs Three Touchdown Catches, Throws For A Fourth TD

ORLANDO, Fla. – Former Cal and current Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen starred Sunday in the flag football event at the 2024 Pro Bowl Games with three touchdown receptions while throwing for a fourth score to lead the AFC to a 50-34 victory over the NFC at Camping World Stadium. However, the performance was not quite enough to make up for the AFC's 30-9 disadvantage in the other events at the Pro Bowl Games to give the NFC a 64-59 overall victory.

Allen led the AFC with nine receptions for 90 yards and his three touchdown catches on Sunday. He was on the receiving end of a 12-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud with 10:27 remaining in the second period then threw a seven-yarder scoring strike across the field to Evan Engram with 57 ticks remaining in the opening half. He also had both of the AFC's scores after the break on touchdown passes from Gardner Minshew of four yards in the third quarter and three yards in the fourth.

Former Cal and current Dallas Cowboys punter Bryan Anger was also selected for the Pro Bowl Games but did not play in Sunday's flag football contest.

Allen (2017-21, '23) earned a Pro Bowl selection for the sixth time in 2023, while Anger (2021, '23) picked up the recognition on the second occasions.
