Addie Fischer, Kennedy Mason, Kate Rothman And Charlotte Smith In Key Role

Jennifer Wong announced Thursday that the senior trio of Adeline Fischer, Kaitlyn Rothman and
Charlotte Smith, along with junior
Kennedy Mason, have been selected as team captains for the 2024 season. Each will be in her first season in the role.
"This group has earned the opportunity to be our captains this season," Wong said. "They will play a vital role on our team and I will rely heavily upon them."
Cal opens its 2024 season by hosting Akron at California Memorial Stadium on Friday (3 p.m. PT), The contest will be streamed live on
Cal's Live Stream-3 channel.

Addie Fischer, M, 5-9, R-Sr., 5th Collegiate Season/1st Season At Cal (Glen Arm, MD/Villanova/Notre Dame Prep)
– Joins Cal as a fifth-year senior in 2024 after playing in 58 games with 27 starts during four previous campaigns at Villanova, contributing 37 points on 23 goals and 14 assists while earning a first-team All-Big EAST spot during her 2022 junior season when she had career bests of 16 points and 13 goals while making 6-of-11 free position shots
Kennedy Mason, M, 5-4, Jr., 3rd Collegiate Season/3rd Season At Cal (Aliso Viejo, CA/JSerra Catholic HS/Aliso Niguel HS)
– Has played in all 36 games possible with 23 starts as a 2022 freshman and 2023 sophomore at Cal, contributing 32 points on 26 goals and six assists
Kate Rothman, A, 5-6, Sr., 4th Collegiate Season/4th Season At Cal (San Diego, CA/Torrey Pines HS)
– Has played in 28 career games with six starts at Cal, all as a 2022 sophomore and 2023 junior after not playing as a 2021 freshman, contributing 21 points on 11 goals and 10 assists
Charlotte Smith, D, 5-7, Sr., 4th Collegiate Season/2nd Season At Cal (Great Falls, VA/James Madison/The Hill Academy)
– Has played in a combined 40 games, including 20 starts over three seasons at Cal (2023) and James Madison (2021), contributing one goal and one assist for two points, 29 ground balls, 21 caused turnovers and 36 draw controls
