- The Bears' 20-2 start is their best through the first 22 games of the season since going 21-1 to open the 2015 campaign.
- Cal is ranked No. 15 in the NFCA and Softball America rankings, No. 17 by USA Softball and is No. 19 in the D1Softball poll this week.

- Head coach Chelsea Spencer is sitting on 99 career wins in her fourth season leading the Bears. She has a chance to reach the 100-win milestone this weekend in Eugene, where she spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Oregon (2013-18) under Mike White.
- Elon Butler was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week on Feb. 20 after a standout performance during the Golden Bears' undefeated weekend at the Littlewood Classic. Butler hit .600 (9-for-15) in Cal's five victories, collecting two home runs and two doubles to go with seven RBI.
