BERKELEY – California will open its inaugural Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball schedule against rival Stanford on Dec. 7 at Haas Pavilion, it was announced on the ACC PM show Monday. The contest will tip off at 1 p.m. PT on the ACC Network.
 
The Golden Bears own a 154-131 all-time advantage against Stanford in a rivalry series that dates back more than 100 years to the 1913-14 season. Cal has won its past three home games against the Cardinal, including a 73-71 victory on Jan. 26, 2024 in Cal head coach Mark Madsen's – a Stanford alumnus and 2019 Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame inductee – coaching debut against his alma mater.
 
Additionally, ESPN announced Monday that Cal's SEC/ACC Challenge matchup at Missouri on Dec. 3 will start at 4 p.m. PT in Columbia, Missouri. The contest will be televised on SEC Network.
 
Cal's full 2024-25 ACC men's basketball schedule will be unveiled at 5 p.m. PT Tuesday on the ACC Network.
