Jaylen Brown Named 2025 NBA All-Star

Former Golden Bear Standout Returning To Bay Area For 2025 Event

BOSTON – Former California standout and current Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown will play in his fourth NBA All-Star Game next month after he was named an Eastern Conference reserve Thursday. The All-Star appearance will bring Brown back to the Bay Area, with the event set to be held at Chase Center in San Francisco on Feb. 16.

It is the third straight season that Brown, the No. 3 overall pick by Boston in 2016, has been named an All-Star. He has averaged 23.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and a career-high 4.8 assists per game for the reigning NBA champions in 2024-25. He was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player last season as he led the Celtics to their record-18th NBA title.

Brown was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and an All-Pac-12 First Team selection in his lone season with the Golden Bears in 2015-16.
