Bears Set To Appear At ACC Tip-Off
Sheppard, Twidale To Represent Cal On Oct. 7
The California women's basketball team will be represented by juniors

Lulu Twidale alongside head coach
Charmin Smith at this year's ACC Tip-Off event which takes place Oct. 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The annual event will feature head coaches and players from each of the league's 18 teams and will include live streamed press conferences and interviews, which will air on the ACC Network and ACCNX.
Smith, Sheppard and Twidale will all participate in a press conference live from 5-5:15 a.m. PT on Tuesday, which will be available to view on ACCNX
here. Separate interviews will air on
ACC Network with Smith from 7-7:15 a.m. PT and with Sheppard and Twidale from 8:45-9 a.m. PT.
Sheppard, a 5-foot-10 combo guard from Kent, Washington, transferred to Cal from LSU this offseason. She appeared in 32 games with two starts for LSU as a sophomore in 2024-25, helping the Tigers reach the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. She averaged 3.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in 12.5 minutes per game to go along with 32 steals and 21 assists. Sheppard scored double figures in five games, including a season-high 12 points in her first start of the season in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals against Florida.
Twidale, a 5-foot-10 guard from Sunshine Coast, Australia, returns as the Bears' leading scorer and 3-point shooter. She averaged a career-high 13.2 points per game and knocked down 94 3-pointers in 2024-25. Her 3-point total ranked second among all sophomores in the country and 13th overall and marked the second highest single-season total in program history.
