Cal To Play In Preserve Golf Club Collegiate

Story Links

CARMEL – The California men's golf team wraps up the fall season this week at the Preserve Golf Club Collegiate.

The Golden Bears are one of 11 teams in the field to be played on the par-72, 7,041-yard course at The Preserve Golf Club. Competition begins Monday with the first 36 holes before the final round on Tuesday.

Cal is coming off a memorable tournament at the St. Andrews Links Collegiate in Scotland, where the Bears won the team stroke play event before falling to Princeton in the match play championship round. Junior Charlie Bundy finished in a tie for second individually in stroke play at 4-under par while also taking his head-to-head contest in match play.

Cal won the team title at Preserve in 2023 when it was called the Cal Poly Invitational, beating runner-ups UCLA and Northwestern by five shots. Senior Daniel Heo was the Bears' top individual finisher at 5-under par, which put him in a tie for 13th place.

Cal begins play Monday with an 8:30 a.m. PT tee time.
