Cal Track & Field Releases 2025-26 Schedule
Bears’ Senior Day Set For April 4 At Brutus Hamilton Invitational
The California track & field team has released its 2025-26 schedule, featuring a jam-packed slate of competition once again as it hopes to continue its streak of qualifying Golden Bears to the NCAA Championships.
Cal will send a small contingent to Boston for the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Dec. 6, while its first competition as a full team will be at the Spokane Sports Showcase in Spokane, Washington, on Jan. 16. The Bears will then travel to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational (the first of two meets in Albuquerque, New Mexico) on Jan. 23-24, followed by the first of two Seattle trips (the UW Invitational) on Jan. 30-31.
Cal will host three home meets at Edwards Stadium, starting with the annual All Comers Meet on Feb. 21 followed by the Cal Invitational (March 21), which will also act as the Bears' outdoor opener, and the Brutus Hamilton Invitational (April 2-4). April 4 will also be the Bears' Senior Day.
The Bears will make three appearances at Stanford this year, which includes the 131st Big Meet on April 11. Cal will also visit former conference-mate UCLA for the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival and the Jim Bush Legends Invitational on March 27-28.
The indoor postseason will begin in Boston at the ACC Indoor Championships (Feb. 26-28) and end (pending qualification) at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on March 13-14. The ACC Outdoor Championships, in which Cal's men finished third in 2025, are scheduled for May 14-16 in Louisville, followed by a return to Fayetteville for the NCAA West Regionals (May 28-31) before closing out the year at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 10-13, held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, for the third year in a row.
Last year's NCAA Championships featured a total of 12 Cal entries (four indoor, eight outdoor), who combined for eight All-America honors (four indoor, four outdoor). Twelve Bears posted a total of 15 podium appearances at the ACC Indoor and Outdoor Championships in Cal's first year in the conference, winning two indoor titles and two outdoor titles.
