Seven players from the 2024 California volleyball squad have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference Thursday. To earn a spot on the list, ACC volleyball players must have maintained a 3.00-or-better cumulative GPA while earning at least a 3.00 in the fall semester, while also competing in at least 50 percent of their team's matches.
 
This is the fifth year that graduate student Gianna Bartalo has been recognized by a conference academic list, having been named to the Summit League Academic Honor Roll in each year of her undergraduate career at Denver before transferring to Cal. Redshirt junior Ava Mehrten earned her third straight academic recognition after making the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2022 and 2023, while junior Peyton DeJardin also made the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2023.
 
The list is rounded out by sophomores Sophia Johnson, Ashley Li, Xuemeng (Maggie) Li and Sawyer Thomsen, who each picked up their first conference academic honor.
