First Golden Bear To Earn ACC Weekly Honors

 
BERKELEY - California senior infielder Acacia Anders was named the ACC Player of the Week, announced by the conference Wednesday morning.
 
Anders celebrated her birthday weekend at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, hitting .625 (10-for-16) with six RBIs, collecting five runs, four doubles, two walks and a .875 slugging percentage. In two of the last three games against LMU and Northwestern, she recorded three hits and has recorded a hit in seven consecutive games.
 
At the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, Anders ranked first in doubles (4), tied for first in hits (10), tied for second in on-base percentage (.667), and tied for third in batting average (.625) of all players in the event. Her performance earned her a spot on the D1 Softball Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic All-Tournament Team.        
 
Anders is the first Bear to earn an ACC weekly honor, marking her third career weekly conference award.
