BERKELEY – The California baseball team will host its virtual online gala "For The Love of the Game" on Friday at 6 p.m. PT. The free event is for all who want to support Cal Baseball. Register at calbea.rs/loveofthegame to hear from Cal baseball alumni, bid on exciting auction items and enjoy a fireside chat.

Jim Darby and head coach Mike Neu will host the event with scheduled appearances from current or former Major League Baseball players or coaches Rich Nye (1966), Bob Melvin (1980), Chuck Cary (1981), Jerry Goff (1986), Geoff Blum (1993), Xavier Nady (1997), Tyson Ross (2008), Tony Renda (2011), Andrew Knapp (2013) and Andrew Vaughn (2019).

Cal Director of Athletics Jim Knowlton and Chancellor Rich Lyons are also scheduled to appear.
