Cal Freshman Placed 13th At English Championships

Although the California men's gymnastics team is taking a two-week break from competition before the upcoming MPSF Championships, Golden Bear freshman Trigg Dudley is set to compete by himself across the Atlantic as he joins the best of the best from around the U.K. at the British Championships this Saturday. The London native placed 13th in the all-around at the English Championships on March 1 with a score of 72.300 to qualify, returning to Berkeley afterwards to train before flying back to Liverpool, England, this week.
 
This year's British Championships will be hosted at the M&S Bank Arena, with the men's senior artistic gymnastics competition starting at 7:55 a.m. PT. Fans can watch the meet and view live scoring at british-gymnastics.org.
 
Dudley, who has a total of eight British medals to his name, placed sixth on pommel horse at the English Championships with a score of 12.800, followed by a 12.000 on rings, a 12.350 on vault, a 10.900 on parallel bars and an 11.750 on high bar before closing out the meet with a 12.500 on floor.
