The California softball team (25-7, 6-3 ACC) resumes ACC play after a brief hiatus with a three-game series at Clemson this weekend. The set opens Friday at 3 p.m. PT at McWhorter Stadium.
 
The Golden Bears and Tigers have never faced off before in history.

• Cal is amid its first East Coast trip since 2020, when the team participated in the JMU Dukes Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
• The Bears began the week with nonconference victories at Howard and James Madison, outscoring the two opponents by a combined 25-5.

• The Bears currently rank 19^th in the NCAA in scoring (7.34 runs per game), 20th in batting average (.343) and on-base percentage (.430), 22nd in slugging percentage (.571) and 19th in scoring (7.34).
• Cal enters the weekend tied for fourth in the ACC standings (6-3).
• The Bears are No. 25 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings.
• Cal won 16 straight games between Feb. 21-March 15, marking its longest win streak since 2013.
• On Feb. 26, Acacia Anders was named the ACC Player of the Week after a stellar performance at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. At the event, Anders hit at a .625 (10-for-16) clip with six RBIs, collecting five runs, four doubles and two walks while totaling a .875 slugging percentage. In two of the last three games against LMU and Northwestern, she recorded three hits and had recorded a hit in seven consecutive games at the time.
