AUSTIN, Texas – The California track & field team posted a pair of top-three finishes and a qualifying prelims performance on its second day of competition at the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, facing top-level opponents across all eight of its contested events at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Junior Jason Plumb posted the best mark of any collegian in the men's long jump A section, leaping 7.69m (25-2.75) on his final attempt for the second-best performance of his career and third-best among all competitors. Plumb entered the weekend as the ACC outdoor leader with a season best of 7.53m (24-8.5); Friday's result bettered that by over six inches. In the B section, Trevor Rogers and Javon Hampton Jr. both made the final, ending with identical best marks of 6.91m (22-8).

Sophomore Donovan Bradley qualified for Saturday's final in the 110m hurdles, winning his heat with a season-best time of 13.99. Cal ran its first outdoor 4x400m relay of the season, with the quartet of Johnny Goode, Aiden Lippert, Avinash Schwarzkopf and Rogers finishing in 3:09.60 and barely missing out on the final. Jakobi Smith was Cal's lone representative in the 100m timed final, posting a time of 11.08.

The women's side was headlined by sophomore Myla Canty, who placed second in the triple jump B section with a mark of 12.61m (41-4.5).
