Krimili To Participate In State Farm College 3-Point Championship
Event Takes Place April 3 On ESPN
BERKELEY – California women's basketball guard Ioanna Krimili has been selected to compete in the Celsius Women's 3-Point Championship as a part of the 36th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships. Krimili is one of eight players that will participate in the 3-point competition, which will air live on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET Thursday from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.
Krimili is the nation's leader for career 3-pointers made (434) among active players and her 97 triples this season set a Cal single-season program record. She became just the sixth player in college women's basketball history to surpass 400 3-pointers and 2,500 points for a career and her career 3-point total ranks ninth in NCAA history.
The State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships invites a collection of the nation's elite men's and women's college basketball players to compete for slam dunk and 3-point shooting bragging rights. The winners of the Men's and Women's 3-Point Championships will then compete in the Skechers Battle of the Champions.
Participants in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships have included some of basketball's greats and legendary lottery picks, including Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Cappie Pondexter and Odyssey Sims, to unforgettable tournament superstars from recent history like Kris Jenkins, Jack Gohlke, Dyaisha Fair and Ariel Atkins.
