Senior Becomes 13th Honoree In Program History

BERKELEY – Senior Leah Polonsky of the California women's swimming & diving team was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second Team on Tuesday.

Polonsky, a computer science major with a 3.71 cumulative grade-point average, becomes the 13th student-athlete in program history to be named an Academic All-American. She is also a two-time CSCAA Scholar All-American and two-time selection to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll.

Polonsky is an 18-time All-American and two-time Pac-12 individual champion. She had six top-10 finishes at the 2025 NCAA Championships.

To be eligible for Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must have also earned CSC Academic All-District accolades, be at least a sophomore, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.50 and compete in five competitions or finish in the top eight at a conference meet.
