Bears Set To Make 36th NCAA Postseason Appearance

BERKELEY – The California softball team (35-19) earned an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Division I Softball Championship, where it will compete in the Norman Regional with host No. 2 seed Oklahoma, Omaha and Boston.
 
The Golden Bears will make their 36th all-time NCAA postseason appearance and mark their third consecutive trip to the NCAA Regionals.
 
Cal will begin its road to the Women's College World Series at Love's Field in Norman, Oklahoma, against Omaha (39-11) on Friday at 12:30 p.m. PT on ESPN+. The three-day double-elimination event will run from May 16-18.
 
The Bears will look to advance to their first NCAA Super Regional since 2012, the same season it made its last NCAA Women's College World Series appearance. Cal has appeared in the College World Series 12 times in program history.
 
The Bears will be led by All-ACC honorees Lagi Quiroga, Tianna Bell and Mia Phillips. Quiroga was named to the All-ACC First Team, while Bell and Phillips garnered All-ACC Second Team and All-ACC Freshman Team recognition, respectively.
