Golden Bears Add Dhiaukuei Manyiel Dut

7-Footer Started College Career At Georgia State

BERKELEY – Dhiaukuei "DK" Manyiel Dut, a 7-foot-0 forward from Rumbek, South Sudan, has signed to play for the California men's basketball program in the 2025-26 season. Dut spent the past two seasons at Georgia State, including a redshirt year in 2023-24, and will have three years of eligibility upon arriving in Berkeley.

Dut saw action in nine games for Georgia State as a redshirt freshman in 2024-25 and averaged 1.1 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.

"DK has a rare combination of size, athleticism and skill that will make our frontcourt better," Cal head coach Mark Madsen said. "He has a great ability to protect the rim and is a good shooter from outside. Our staff is excited about where DK can take his game, and he's got the work ethic to make it happen – it's great to have him wearing Blue and Gold."

Dut redshirted during his first season with the Panthers in 2023-24. He signed with Georgia State as a three-star prospect out of Greenforest McCalep Christian Academy in nearby Decatur, Georgia, where he won the 2022 Georgia Class A-Private state title.

Dut's success academically includes being named to the 2023-24 Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's List and selections to the Georgia State President's List in four consecutive semesters. He was the Valedictorian of his Greenforest graduating class.
