Lacrosse Welcomes 9 New Players For 2026 Season
New Golden Bears Arrived on Campus Earlier This Month
BERKELEY – The Cal lacrosse program has welcomed a talented and accomplished group of nine freshmen for the 2025-26 academic year that will begin their first season with the Golden Bears in 2026.
"This group hails from elite high school and club programs across the country, "Cal head coach

"These student-athletes bring a championship pedigree, as well as the academic distinction and a competitive edge on the field that exemplifies the academic and athletic excellence that defines Cal lacrosse. With national honors, state championships and school records to their names, they are ready to make their mark at the next level."
Claire Engelkraut
Chatham, NJ (Chatham HS) - Defender
Engelkraut earned a second-team All-Stars and Stripes selection and was recognized as third-team All-Morris County as a 2025 senior.
Meaghan Lynch
Garden City, NY (Garden City HS) - Midfielder
Lynch was an honorable mention 2025 Nassau All-County selection and received Academic All-American honorable mention recognition as a senior. She also made the 2024 Nassau All-Conference team during her junior campaign.
Juliana Doran
Scotch Plains, NJ (Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS) - Midfielder
Doran earned All-NJIGLL – Freedom White Division honors in each of her four prep campaigns. She was also a three-time All-Union County Conference pick in each of her final three seasons, an All-State recipient in her last two, and the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Female Athlete of the Year as a 2025 senior. Doran holds her high school's all-time goals (301) and points (344) records.
Grace Kerr
Alamo, CA (San Ramon Valley HS) - Midfielder
Kerr racked up the honors during her 2025 senior campaign as a USA Lacrosse All-American, CIF North Coast Section Spirit of Sport award recipient, first-team All-East Bay Athletic League midfielder and NorCal All-Star. She was also named the San Ramon Valley High School Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned AP Scholar with Distinction honors in her final prep campaign.
Katie Knowlton
Boulder, CO (Fairview HS) - Defender
Knowlton is a two-time first-team All-State and 5A East All-Conference (2024, '25) defender in her final two prep seasons who was named the 5A East Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a 2025 senior when she also earned Academic All-American honors.
Lulu Murphy
Winchester, MA (Winchester HS) - Goalie
Murphy is a 3-time Middlesex League All-Star (2023, '24, '25) and two-time all-conference (2024, '25) honoree who was invited to the Agganis All-Star Game as a 2025 senior. Murphy was also recognized at the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls and Women in Sports Day in 2025 for her contributions to athletics.
Sophie Mock
Carmel, IN (Carmel HS) - Midfielder
Mock earned USA Lacrosse All-American and Academic All-American honors in each of her final two prep campaigns in 2024 and 2025. She was also a USA Lacrosse All-Midwest Team and Carmel High School Scholar-Athlete during her 2025 senior season when she helped lead her squad to a second straight state championship and twice earned Midwest Player of the Week honors.
Katie McMullen
Davis, CA (Davis Senior HS) - Midfielder
McMullen was named the USA Lacrosse All-American and Davis Senior High School Athlete of the Year, as well as the Sierra Foothill League Player of the Year as a 2025 senior. A four–time first-team All-Sierra Foothill League selection (2022, '23, '24, 25), McMullen also received team MVP honors in each of the final two seasons of her career.
Maddie Willkomm
Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ (Northern Highlands HS) - Attacker
Willkomm is a highly decorated athlete who received first and second-team All-North Jersey, All-Bergen County, and All-Stars and Stripes selections, along with a third-team All-State Group 3 honor during her 2025 senior campaign
