Pretre Wins Second Consecutive Race For Bears
Tau Sets Personal Best To Place Second On Women's Side

Justin Pretre won his second consecutive race Saturday night, capturing the Kim Duyst Invitational with a personal-best time of 23:14.3 at River Oaks Golf Course.
Pretre, who won the title at the USF Invitational last month, was one of two Golden Bears to finish in the top 10. Senior
Caden Carney placed ninth with a mark of 23.53.9.
Cal finished in second place as a team behind UC Davis.
On the women's side, junior
Sophie Tau set a personal best and finished in second place with a time of 20:34.1 as the Bears placed sixth in the team standings. Sophomore
Sarah Perkins was Cal's next-best finisher in 15
th place (21:29.8).
The Bears return to action Oct. 10 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, hosted by Oregon.
