California field hockey alumna Renee Chatas '83 has been inducted into the 2026 USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame, the sport's national governing body announced. Chatas was inducted as an official and joins six others that were part of this year's class and became just the second official to be inducted into the hall of fame.
 
Chatas' long list of accomplishments include being named an All-American at Cal, playing on the U.S. National Team and serving as an official at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. She also ranks seventh on Cal's all-time career goals list (34) and eighth on the career points list (79).
