BERKELEY – The California women's tennis team captured five of eight matches on Saturday at the Cal Winter Invitational, the Golden Bears' annual event held at the Hellman Tennis Complex and Channing Tennis Courts. Three Golden Bears won in straight sets in singles, with ninth-ranked All-American Berta Passola Folch leading the way with a 6-2, 6-2 result over Elif Tuana Gunal of Saint Mary's.
 
Anya Murthy posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Cal Poly's Natalie Lynch, while Mille Johanna Moerk added a 6-3, 6-4 victory over the Mustangs' Candela Aparisi.
 
Cal won twice in doubles, with Passola Folch pairing with All-American Mao Mushika to best Stanford's Caroline Driscoll and Monika Ekstrand 6-3, and Moerk and Naomi Xu beating the Cardinal's Tianmei Wang and Morgan Shaffer 7-5.
 
The Cal Winter Invitational ends Sunday, with matches beginning at 11 a.m. PT.
