Jacob De Jesus Named Academic All-American
Wide Receiver/Returner Picked Up 2 Graduate Certificates At Cal In 2025
California wide receiver/returner Jacob De Jesus has been selected to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-America Football squads, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. De Jesus was a second-team selection.
To qualify for the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America football team, student-athletes must meet the following criteria: Be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and compete in 90% of the institution's games or start in at least 66% of the institution's games.
De Jesus earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from UNLV in 2024 before adding a pair of graduate certificates at Cal in 2025 in business administration and entrepreneurship. He has a 3.67 cumulative GPA.

- First-Team All-ACC all-purpose and specialist selection, while he was a second-team pick as a wide receiver who posted career highs in nearly every category, including receptions, receptions per game, yards receiving, yards receiving per game, touchdown receptions, combined kickoff yards, punt returns and kickoff returns
- Led the ACC and ranked second nationally with 108 receptions and 8.31 receptions per game, breaking a school record for receptions previously held by Dameane Douglas (100, 1998)
- Had 51 receptions over his final four games, including three in double digits with a school-record-tying and career-high 16 receptions for a career-high 158 yards receiving and the game-winning touchdown on the final play to earn ACC Receiver of the Week honors on Nov. 8 in a 29-26 overtime win at No. 15 Louisville, 14 receptions for 96 yards on Nov. 22 at Stanford, and 12 receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown Nov. 29 vs. SMU
- Fourth in the ACC and 18th nationally with 1,030 yards receiving, while his receiving yards per game (79.2) were 24th in the country
- Led the ACC and was eighth in the nation with 1,645 all-purpose yards and 126.54 all-purpose yards per game
- Paced Cal with six touchdown receptions
- Had 622 combined kick return yards (363 kickoff, 259 punt) to rank second in the ACC and tied for seventh nationally
- Led the ACC in kickoff return average (20.2 ypr), while he ranked third in the ACC and 16th nationally in punt return average (11.8 ypr)
- Played in all 13 games with 10 starts

- Has played in 40 games at California (2025) and UNLV (2023-24)
- Has 204 receptions for 2,148 yards receiving with 11 touchdown receptions, while adding another 2,143 return yards (1375 kickoff, 768 punt) and 140 on the ground to total 4,431 all-purpose yards (110.8 ypg)
