6 Bears Named All-ACC Academic

5 Earn Second Straight Honor

Six members of the California women's soccer team were named to the All-ACC Academic team, the conference announced Thursday. Five Golden Bears in Noelle Bond-Flasza, Miriam Hils, Alex Klos, Malia McMahon, and Kenley Whittaker made the team for the second straight year and Coco Thistle earned her first-career honor.
 
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the previous two semesters and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for one's academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50% of their team's athletic contests.
