Zhou Ties For Third Individually For Career-Best Finish

LIHUE, HI – Sophomore Ziqin Zhou had a career-best finish and the California men's golf team placed 11th out of 19 teams at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate at the Ocean Course at Hokuala.

Zhou finished in a tied for third place individually at 6-under par after closing the tournament by shooting a 4-under par 66 on Saturday. That was also the third-best round of the day.

Zhou now has three top-10 finishes this season and four in his career. He played a bogey-free round Saturday while carding four birdies on the par-70, 7,156-yard course.

Fellow sophomore Sihao Cong registered his fourth top-25 finish of the season by placing in a tie for 21st at 2-over par. He shot even-par on Saturday.

The Bears finished the tournament at 14-over par overall. Loyola Marymount won the event at 10-under par.

Cal returns to competition March 1-3 at the Cabo Collegiate.
