NORTHRIDGE – The California softball team fell to CSUN, 6-3, on Thursday afternoon at Matador Diamond.

The Bears jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single to left center by
Mya McGowan.

CSUN responded with two runs in the third to take a 2-1 lead.

Maddie Rey blasted a two-run homer to left center in the fourth inning to put Cal back in front, 3-2.
Â
The Matadors answered with four runs in the sixth to regain the lead and secure the 6-3 win.
Â
With the loss, the Bears fall to 13-31 overall. Cal will remain in Southern California for a doubleheader at UCLA on Saturday afternoon.
