Senior Portia Sherman and junior Emma Donley of the No. 8 California beach volleyball team earned their second consecutive AVCA Collegiate Beach First-Team All-American accolades, the organization announced Thursday.

Sherman and Donley, who last year became the first AVCA First-Team All-Americans in program history, repeated this season with arguably even more dominant seasons. The duo makes up the Golden Bears' No. 1 pair and has compiled a 29-5 record heading into this weekend's 2026 NCAA Championship in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They've defeated 10 pairs from top-10 opponents and another seven pairs from nationally ranked teams. All five of their losses are against duos from top-10 foes.

Sherman and Donley make up the No. 4 pair in the country, according to TruVolley. Donley was also named a semifinalist for the AVCA National Player of the Year award earlier this month.

The duo's 29 wins this season broke the program single-season pair wins record that the duo set last season, when it went 28-7. They are also Cal's all-time career pair wins leader with 57.

The eighth-seeded Bears open the 2026 NCAA Championship on Friday with a first-round matchup against No. 9 Long Beach State.
