STANFORD- Senior Adora Liu shot a 1-over-par 72 in the first round of the NCAA Regional, ending the day tied for 24th place as an individual. Liu started on hole 10, earning a birdie on hole 12, before bogeying hole 13 to fall back to even par. She birdied holes 16 and 17, ending the back nine at a 2-under par 34.

On the front nine, however, things took a downhill turn. After paring the first two holes, Liu bogeyed hole three, and then tripled on hole six after losing her first ball to a hazard on the right side of the fairway. She finished out the front nine holes with a birdie, ending the day with a 1-over-par 72, tied for 24th place.

Liu trails the individual leader Emma Bunch from New Mexico State by seven strokes heading into the second round of action. She will tee off tomorrow from hole 10 at 9:50 a.m. with Long Beach State's Madison Le and Santa Clara's Kelsey Kim.
