No. 6 Cal Set For ACC Championship
Bears Enter Regatta As No. 2 Seed
The No. 6 California women's rowing team will head east for the ACC Rowing Championship this weekend on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Golden Bears enter as the No. 2 seed in each of the five races at the event, as determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Â
Last year, Cal placed fourth in its first ACC Championship as members of the conference, en route to being one of four of the league's teams that earned a spot in the NCAA Championship.
Â
The conference championship preliminaries will begin this Friday at 5:05 a.m. PT/8:05 a.m. ET with the third varsity eight heats, followed by the varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four and second varsity four races. Each event will have two heats.
Â
Saturday's finals will also start at 5:05 a.m. PT/8:05 a.m. ET, with the Petite Final held prior to the Grand Final of each event. The order of events will mirror the order of the preliminaries.
Â
ACC Network Extra will provide live coverage of the two-day regatta. Day 1 can be streamed
