BERKELEY- California men's golf is back in NCAA postseason play for the fourth straight year and will compete in the Columbus (Ohio) Regional on Monday through Wednesday at the Scarlett Course at Ohio State University Golf Club.

The eighth-seeded Bears are seeking their third consecutive NCAA Championship appearance, needing a top five finish in the 13-team 54-hole Columbus Regional to advance. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team will advance to a field of 30 teams and six additional individuals that will play in the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad on May 29-June 3. Cal has advanced to the NCAA Championships 16 times in program history, most recently last year when they placed 17th in Carlsbad.

The Bears are ranked 48th nationally (Scoreboard) and are coming off a great outing at the ACC Championship on Apr. 23-25  in Panama City, Fla. Cal finished the tournament in 12th place out of 15 teams, while sophomore Ziqin Zhou won the individual championship, defeating Stanford's Edan Cui and Duke's Ethan Evans in a two hole playoff to win Cal's first individual ACC title. Zhou is the fifth Cal golfer to win an individual conference title and first since Collin Morikawa won the 2019 Pac 12 Championship.

The Bears will tee off Monday with South Carolina and South Florida, starting at 5:25 a.m. PT / 8:25 a.m. ET.
