Bears Fall To No. 3 Buckeyes
Cal Tallies 17 Wins In 2026
Columbus – In the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the No. 42 California Golden Bears (17-14) dropped their contest with No. 3 Ohio State (31-4), 4-0, in Columbus on Saturday.
In doubles, Cal saw itself in close games on each court but couldn't overcome two of the three Buckeye doubles duos. First, the Bears fell on court two, 4-6, then dropped a 7-point tiebreaker on court three to surrender the doubles point.
Entering singles play with 0-1 deficit, Cal surrendered points on courts one, three and four to the third-ranked Buckeyes and fell in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
