Cal Duo Named To All-ACC Academic Team

Bears Have 2 First Time Honorees

Two members of the California men's golf team were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Monday. Senior Daniel Heo and redshirt junior Charlie Bundy both earned the first All-ACC Academic Team honor of their career.
 
Bundy, who was also named to the CSC Academic All-District team earlier this month, just concluded his second year at Strawberry Canyon, majoring in business administration. He played in nine events and 26 rounds this season, putting together a 73.35 scoring average. His best finish of the season came at the St. Andrews Collegiate, finishing in second place at 4-under-par in stroke play. Bundy shot a 6-under-par 210 at the NIT, finishing in 14th place, and shot a 4-under-par 206 at the Western Intercollegiate, finishing in a tie for 10th place. He finished the season with five rounds in the 60's and nine rounds under par
 
Heo graduated from Cal in May with a degree in economics. He played in eight events and 23 rounds this season, earning a 71.83 stroke average. Heo finished in fourth place at St. Andrews at 3-under-par in stroke play. He had four top-25 finishes and eight rounds in the 60's. Heo finished in 22nd place at the NCAA Columbus Regional at 8-over-par. He finished in 15th place at the Tindall shooting a 3-under-par 213, and tied for 19th place at the Folds of Honor Collegiate with a 3-over-par 216. His last top 20 finish came at the Western Intercollegiate where he finished tied for 18th place at 1-under-par.

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must maintain a career grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, earn at least a 3.0 GPA during the most recent academic semester (spring 2026), and participate in at least 50% of their team's competitions.
