Jett Kenady of the California baseball team was named a NCBWA Freshman Second-Team All-American as announced by the publication Monday.
Kenady, who was also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team, turned in an impressive first collegiate campaign, establishing himself as one of California's top contributors while emerging as one of the premier freshmen in the country.
A key piece of the Golden Bears' lineup throughout the season, Kenady delivered a steady presence and showed the ability to perform in big moments. He played and started in 51 games this year and ranked second on the team in batting average (.320), OPS (.923), runs (36), slugging percentage (.573) and home runs (11), while leading the team with 17 doubles.
Kenady, who announced his return to Cal for the 2027 season via social media last Saturday, is a key member of the Bears' youthful roster that featured 18 freshman and 28 newcomers this year. His presence reinforces the promise of California's young core and gives the Bears momentum heading into the future.
